Consistency check
TalkyPage notices when your information contradicts itself and puts the point in front of you to clarify.
Websites, price lists and entries are written at different times. Sooner or later the old price is still on a subpage while the new price list has long applied. A person on the phone would stop and wonder. So does your Talky.
How the check works
When new knowledge comes in, TalkyPage compares it with what is already there: a new document, a new entry, a changed page. The comparison also works across languages, for example an English price list against a German website.
The result is one of three:
| Result | What happens |
|---|---|
| Fits | Nothing more. |
| Replaced | The newer information takes the place of the older one, such as the new price list replacing the old. Replaced only holds as long as the newer one exists. |
| Contradiction | Two pieces of information do not fit together. The point goes to To clarify. |
If a document differs from your website, that is always a contradiction and never a silent replacement: your website is public, and nothing wrong should stay there.
What the Talky says in the meantime
Until you have decided, the Talky says openly that there are two pieces of information instead of making one up. That way a visitor is never told a wrong price as if it were certain.
Clarifying
Under Knowledge ▸ To clarify you find every contradiction with both pieces of information and their sources. You decide with one click which one applies. You also get an email, so nothing is left lying around.
