Knowledge
Documents and reference works
Price lists, presentations and entire catalogues. The Talky looks things up, reads the passage and shows the excerpt.
Not everything is on your website. You upload documents in the Knowledge ▸ Documents tab.
Documents
Price lists, service catalogues, flyers, presentations, menus. TalkyPage breaks them down and pulls out the facts:
- Page numbers, headers and footers are dropped.
- Slide titles become headings.
- Short pieces under one heading are merged; prices stay separate.
- Whatever was not taken over stays on the document word for word, with its page. That way you see that nothing gets lost.
As with pages, you switch off individual sections of a document. New documents are compared with the rest of your knowledge.
Reference works
For extensive material there are reference works: catalogues, parts lists, instructions, manuals with hundreds of pages. The Talky treats them the way a person treats a book:
- Search your website and your knowledge.
- Look up in the reference work when the question belongs there.
- Read the page it found, to answer precisely.
If wanted, it shows the visitor the passage as an excerpt: an image of the section from the original, such as a table or a drawing. The page images are created when you release the document; during the conversation they are only cropped.
Storage and costs
How much storage and which file size you get depends on your plan. Looking things up costs a small amount per function, which you see itemised under Conversations.
Delete and replace
You can delete a document. If it had replaced older information, that information applies again. A newer document that replaces an older one only applies as long as it exists itself.
Rather try it than read about it? Talk to our Talky, or we'll set up a preview on your own website.
